Shrines
- There are eleven shrines and the Navagraha that you can sponsor. The deities are either granite or marble.
- An individual or a group of people may together sponsor each item.
- The minimum contribution towards a shrine sponsorship is $2,500.
- Kavachas are ornamental metal coverings custom made by silversmiths to
cover the entire body (neck to toe)
of the stone icons or the vigrahas.
The purpose of the Kavacha (also called Angi) is to enhance the sculptural beauty of vigrahas
